Allocca Biography

Joseph P. Allocca, is Chief Executive Officer and founder of Allocca & Brunett, Inc. and heads Allocca & Bruntt, Inc. and THE PENSION COMPANY, a highly successful employee benefits firm with its headquarters in Santa Fe, New Mexico. The company organized in 1964 specializes in providing complete financial and retirement planning as well as pension consultation services to businesses throughout 21 cities in New Mexico, Colorado, Texas and Arizona. Mr. Allocca is a registered principal with Ohio National Equity Sales Co. (ONESCO) Member FINRA.

Joe has more than 44 years of industry experience.  Using a proven 5-step process to set up wealth management programs, Joe can customize the plans he offers and have them up and running is as little as 30 days.

Born in Brooklyn, New York, Mr. Allocca came to Santa Fe to attend the College of Santa Fe, graduated with a degree in Accounting,and practiced accounting in New York City for a large national accounting firm. He transferred to Santa Fe and later started his career in the life insurance business that later led to specializing in pensions, employee benefits, estate planning and investment services.

He served as a City Councilor for the Santa Fe from 1972-1978. He was the youngest person ever elected to that body. During his tenure, he served as Chair of the Parks and Recreation Committee and was a member of several other ad hoc committees appointed by the Mayor.

He earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) designation in 1971, his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation in 1984 and became an Accredited Pension Administrator (APA) in 1991 and holds the Qualified Financial Planner designation (QFP) and served on the National Board of Directors of that organization. He is a past member of the Society of Financial Service Professionals, past president of the Zia Toastmasters Club and the Santa Fe del Sur Rotary Club.  

He is the past Chair of the Board of the Santa Fe Community Foundation where he has been a member of the Board from 1998 - 2005. He also is a member of the Board of the National Association of Qualified Financial Planners. Mr. Allocca has spoken before the American Bar Association, The New Mexico Society of Certified Public Accountants and various other business organizations throughout the United States. He is married and has five children.
